Summer Ambitions.
I am staying in Chicago for most of summer to take some classes and work on all the projects that have been piling up on my To Do list.
I will will primarily be designing and building furniture, but other projects will likely include (in no particular order):

For those of you who aren't already aware, I've started college. I'm studying architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, an architecture school founded by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, one of the most if not the most influential architects in modern history. He has a presence here on campus and in the city, and Chicago is the Mecca of modernism. It's really exciting and a bit spine-tingling to walk into Mies' famous Crown Hall every morning for studio review. My favorite blogs- some damn good reading
I actually didn't start reading any blogs at all until just a few days ago. See, I generally avoid them for the reason that anyone can have one, and by that I mean ANYONE. I usually either disagree with the author strongly, and thus avoid reading what they have to say, or agree strongly, and thus also avoid reading (for reasons best left to a different journal entry. However, I recently came across a blog by an architecture student in Australia called Archi-Ninja (weird, but it's explained somewhere in there).
